What you’ll actually do
Lead a squad of 4+ devs while staying dangerously hands-on (you still ship production code)
Own the technical direction of multiple client projects and internal products
Architect bulletproof integrations with payment gateways and logistics providers that refuse to behave on Fridays at 5pm
Mentor engineers, kill blockers, and make sure nothing explodes in prod
Report directly to the Engineering Manager (who reports to the CTO)
Requirements
3+ years slinging Nest.js (backend) + Next.js (frontend) in production
Battle scars from integrating payment (Mercado Pago, Fiserv, Prisma, MODO, Conekta, etc.) and shipping APIs
TypeScript mastery
PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB fluency
RESTful API design that doesn’t make seniors cry
Testing muscle with Jest and/or Mocha
You’ve led teams (1–2 years minimum, more is better)
Agile isn’t a buzzword for you — you live velocity, cycle time, and unblocking people
Desired
Design patterns that scale without drama
AWS muscle memory
English B2+
Fintech or high-volume e-commerce war stories
Leadership and Management Skills
Experience leading development teams in agile environments, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement
Ability to define the project's technical direction and establish quality standards
Skill in decomposing complex tasks and efficiently assigning them within the team
Experience mentoring and supporting the professional growth of team members
Ability to facilitate technical and design meetings, encouraging active team participation
Skill in identifying and resolving technical and organizational blockers
Experience managing stakeholders and effectively communicating with various areas of the organization
Competence in measuring and enhancing team efficiency through agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, lead time, and cumulative flow diagrams
Ability to analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement
