Role Overview
Payments are at the heart of their value proposition. Schools rely on the platform to process transactions, maintain financial accuracy, and reconcile across multiple systems, payment methods, and regulatory environments.
They are hiring a Senior Product Manager for Payments & Reconciliation to lead this critical product area. You will drive the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for the full payments lifecycle—checkout, invoicing, reconciliation, settlement, and payment operations.
This role is ideal for a product leader who excels at solving complex financial problems, partnering deeply with engineering, and shaping scalable systems across multiple countries and compliance frameworks.
You will play a central role in stabilizing and modernizing the payments foundation while driving innovation that elevates how schools, parents, and administrators experience financial operations—turning webhook flakes and reconciliation nightmares into seamless, brag-worthy flows.
What You’ll Lead
1. Product Strategy & Ownership
- Own and define the end-to-end Payments Squad roadmap like it’s your most prized possession
- Develop a multi-year product strategy for payments and reconciliation that turns LATAM education finance into a competitive edge
- Partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to align objectives and crush silos
- Build a long-term vision that differentiates their payment experience in the LATAM education ecosystem
2. Payments & Reconciliation Excellence
- Lead the redesign and modernization of payment flows, invoicing systems, and reconciliation processes to eliminate jank and race conditions
- Strengthen financial accuracy, transparency, and reliability across the entire payment lifecycle
- Design intuitive financial dashboards for administrators, including balances, invoices, adjustments, settlements, and reconciliation data that make cold starts a thing of the past
- Work with engineering to implement scalable workflows for adjustments, refunds, partial payments, and corrections
- Improve real-time visibility of payment status for both administrators and families
3. Multi-Country Innovation
- Develop country-specific payment experiences for Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador—each with their unique regulatory twists
- Expand and optimize payment methods, including cards, bank transfers, cash networks like OXXO, direct debit, SPEI, PSE, and local rails
- Ensure compliance with local tax, invoicing, and settlement regulations
- Partner with integrations teams to support PSPs, banks, and ERP systems without the Friday-night ghosts
4. Customer-Centric Problem Solving
- Deeply understand the financial workflows of schools, parents, and internal operations teams
- Collaborate with Customer Success to identify core issues and drive structured resolution
- Improve payment setup, onboarding, self-service, and adoption
- Identify and eliminate friction points across the payment journey
5. Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with engineering to deliver high-impact solutions
- Drive clarity through clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation
- Establish prioritization frameworks that balance urgency, long-term scalability, and customer impact
- Mentor junior PMs and shape strong product management culture across the organization

- Improved coordination between Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Product Management experience
- 2+ years leading payment, billing, reconciliation, fintech, or financial operations products
- Experience working with payment processors, banking partners, or ERP/accounting integrations
- Strong technical fluency: APIs, data flows, webhooks, event-driven systems, and financial systems architecture
- Proven ability to drive complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from discovery to launch
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product, engineering, finance, and operations
- Strong analytical approach to prioritization, problem solving, and decision-making
- Fluency in Spanish (required); English preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in EdTech, school administration systems, or financial products
- Familiarity with Latin American payment ecosystems and regulatory environments
- Background in startups or high-growth, multi-country product environments
- Technical background or strong comfort working with engineering teams
- Experience leading cross-border or multi-currency payments initiatives
