Senior Data Scientist
Role Summary
They’re hunting for a data scientist/analyst who dominates in a blistering, high-stakes arena where ownership is non-negotiable. Data fuels their decision engine, risk models, and product dominance. You’ll architect, deploy, and unleash data-driven beasts that redefine underwriting advances, user journeys, and risk mastery.
This isn’t notebook playground — you’ll forge battle-ready Python code, launch models and pipelines into the fray, and team up with backend warriors to craft indestructible data empires. You’ll harness cutting-edge AI/LLM firepower to turbocharge analysis, automate intel drops, and sharpen every call.
Your impact explodes beyond models: you’ll extract killer insights from user patterns, product gauntlets, and financial warfare, fueling tactical strikes and empire-building strategies.
If blending hardcore engineering, business intel, and AI sorcery fires you up — and seeing your creations crush it for thousands of users gets your blood pumping — you’re in the kill zone.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain services that power their decision engine — the heart of the beast
Design and develop statistical and machine learning models to crush underwriting, fraud detection, and user engagement
Write production-ready Python code (FastAPI, Pandas, SQLAlchemy) to deploy models and pipelines into live systems
Develop and optimize ETL jobs and data pipelines to morph raw chaos into razor-sharp insights
Write and maintain SQL queries to dissect user behavior, product performance, and financial metrics
Partner with product and business teams to analyze funnels, unit economics, and risk metrics, translating insights into game-changing decisions
Design and run data-driven experiments (A/B tests, causal analysis) to validate product upgrades and policy shifts
Leverage LLMs and AI-powered tools to accelerate data exploration, automate reporting, and supercharge SQL/analysis workflows
Prototype and integrate AI-driven workflows (agents, RAG pipelines, anomaly detection, automated monitoring) into their data arsenal
Implement and maintain unit and integration tests to lock down model and pipeline reliability
Communicate findings and recommendations with crystal clarity to technical and non-technical power players
What we’re looking for
4–6+ years of experience in a data science, data analyst, or ML engineering role
Strong Python programming skills (comfortable writing production-ready code, not just notebooks)
Experience with SQL and relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, or similar)
Hands-on experience with Python data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, etc.)
Background in applied statistics and machine learning (classification, regression, clustering, etc.)
Experience deploying models, pipelines, or analytics workflows into production environments
Familiarity with data-driven experimentation (A/B testing, causal inference, or uplift modeling)
Experience leveraging LLMs and AI-powered tools to improve analysis and reporting productivity
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote-first environment
A responsible, detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
Nice to have
Experience with ETL/data engineering frameworks (Airflow, dbt, or similar)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred — RDS, S3, ECS, Lambda)
Practical experience with advanced LLM applications — e.g., multi-agent workflows, automated feature engineering, anomaly detection agents
Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
Experience optimizing AI/data pipelines for latency, cost efficiency, and reliability
Experience with Docker and containerized workflows
Previous experience in fintech, risk modeling, or credit underwriting
Preference for candidates with startup experience and a diverse range of roles in their career
Who you are
They’re seeking a data scientist who fuses analytical firepower with engineering steel and business hunger — a force who owns the chaos, adapts like a predator, and shatters limits. You’ll connect raw data fury to strategic conquests and unbreakable code.
You’re obsessed with transforming tangled data into unstoppable insights and ironclad systems
You seize full ownership of projects from dissection through launch and surveillance
You dominate in high-velocity realms with weekly drops and relentless evolution
You hunt feedback to evolve, while delivering precision strikes to elevate the pack
You’re insatiable, flexible, and eternally upgrading — especially on frontiers like LLMs and AI sorcery
You prioritize surgical communication and synergy across tech and business battle lines
How they work
They’re a lean, lightning-fast squad that demands precision, freedom, and audacious moves. They shatter limits, charge ahead, and claim their creations. Their ethos revolves around:
Ownership & Accountability — Everyone claims their domain. You’re empowered to propel features from spark to domination.
Speed & Adaptability — They blitz with weekly unleashes and perpetual refinement. Flux is fuel, and they devour it.
Feedback Culture — They demand raw, compassionate truth — dishing it thoughtfully, absorbing it hungrily.
Data-Driven Thinking — From product assaults to system supremacy, metrics and proof reign supreme.
High Appetite for Risk — They charge into bold gambles, prototype ferociously, and extract wisdom from the fallout.
Continuous Learning — They crave the unknown and ride the wave of tech evolution — AI and LLMs at the vanguard.
Team Collaboration — Remote-first but fused tight, with transparent intel and collective firepower.
