Product Designer
About the Company
A financial and operational platform reinventing how LATAM schools collect tuition, invoice families, and manage their relationship with parents. Operating in Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador, they sit between schools and families as the financial intermediary: issuing B2C and B2B invoices, offering factoring and advances to schools, and giving families a payment experience that actually works. They run two complementary products — Financial Services and SIS (school information system) — and are now at an inflection point: unifying their platform around three axes (financial services, CRM and SIS) with school self-service as the north star.
The opportunity
The Product Design team is being built from scratch and entering a strategic moment: the unification of financial services, CRM and SIS into a single coherent platform. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who thinks of the product as a system — not designing standalone screens or optimizing isolated features, but mapping full flows, understanding how each axis connects to the others, and designing experiences that move schools toward operational autonomy. The role is versatile — you will partner with different Product Managers throughout the year — but your initial focus is clear: be co-architect of this unification alongside the Head of Product Design and Product.
End-to-end vision, not isolated features
What matters most is how you think. Before opening Figma, we want to see you map the full user and business flow, understand how your decision impacts other surfaces, and make choices that raise the coherence of the product as a whole. This systemic vision is the core competency of the role.
What you will do
The role is structured around three pillars. The first is your primary focus; the other two are shared ownership with the rest of the design team.
1. Product Design
Co-architect of the product unification. Map the full system across the three axes (CRM, Financial Services and SIS), identify how they connect, and design the experiences that move schools toward self-service.
Think and design end-to-end, not screen by screen. Understand the full user and business flow before opening Figma, and make sure every piece you deliver is part of a coherent experience.
Be the design partner of different Product Managers, moving across verticals based on quarterly priorities.
Take end-to-end ownership of the initiatives assigned to you: discovery, flows, prototypes, UI, production follow-through, and post-launch monitoring.
Turn ambiguous problems into measurable design decisions, without losing product-wide coherence.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Customer Success to validate feasibility, co-design states and edge cases, and see things through to release.
Bridge verticals when the experience spans them, and defend the end-to-end view when the pressure is to ship a narrow feature.
Reference point for the team. Share frameworks, raise the craft bar, and help institutionalize systems thinking across the design team.
2. Design System
Contribute to unifying the design system across products: tokens, components, patterns and guidelines.
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Design Engineer to raise quality, consistency and team velocity.
Document the components and patterns born out of your work so they can scale to other teams.
3. Research
Design and run mixed-methods research (moderated and unmoderated) with schools, accountants and parents.
Synthesize findings into actionable insights that move product decisions, not reports no one reads.
Help install a continuous research practice across the team, with a focus on anti-churn, activation and self-service.
What we are looking for
5+ years as a Product Designer in complex products (fintech, B2B SaaS, multi-product platforms, edtech or back-office operations).
End-to-end vision and systems thinking. The ability to see the product as a whole, understand how each decision impacts the full flow, and resist the pull to optimize isolated features. This is the main lens we will use to evaluate your portfolio.
Applied service design and journey mapping. Real experience mapping services and complex flows before jumping to UI. We want someone who has made and defended blueprints in real contexts, not only academic exercises.
Cross-functional facilitation. Comfortable leading workshops with PMs, Engineering and Operations. Capable of aligning people who do not share initial context.
Portfolio showing complex problems solved end-to-end: discovery, flows, UI, and business outcomes.
Strong command of Figma and modern design system practices.
Ability to facilitate user research with schools, parents and operations teams, and translate findings into decisions.
Senior presence. Can hold strategic conversations with Head of Product, Head of Design and leadership; defends decisions with business thinking, not only craft.
Comfortable working with ambiguity, writing clearly, and defending decisions with data and product judgment.
Native or advanced Spanish (LATAM) and functional English to collaborate with international stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience designing complex back-office operations: admin dashboards, reconciliation flows, multi-role workflows, system configuration.
Experience designing for LATAM markets and with local financial regulation (SAT in Mexico, SRI in Ecuador, DIAN in Colombia, SUNAT in Peru).
Experience using AI as a design and product tool (Claude, Figma Make, Lovable, NotebookLM).
AI-assisted component building and hands-on GitHub experience.
Hands-on experience with PostHog, FullStory or Amplitude, including setup and ongoing product analytics.
DesignOps experience or a track record of scaling design practices in a growing team.
What we offer
A pivotal moment. The design team is being built and the product is being restructured. Your impact will be visible in what a unified platform looks and feels like from day one and 12 months from now.
Direct report to Head of Product Design and constant collaboration with the CPTO, Head of Product and Head of Data.
Ownership of a product surface that is core to the business across LATAM.
Modern stack: Figma, PostHog, Claude, Linear, Maze, Boom.
Hybrid setup in Colombia (preferred) or remote in Argentina, competitive compensation, and a package aligned to seniority.
