About the Company

They're building the finance-first operating system for education in Latin America. Over 1,000 schools across Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador use their platform to manage payments, billing, academic operations, and financial products in a single place. With accelerating growth and regional expansion ahead, the infrastructure needs to match the ambition.

The Role

This is a full-ownership platform leadership role. You'll take control of cloud infrastructure, databases, development environments, and developer experience — and define where it all goes from here. You report directly to the VP of Engineering. Your decisions will have immediate, visible impact across the entire engineering organization. There's no playbook to inherit. You write it.

What You'll Do

• Take ownership of production infrastructure and development environments from day one — understand the current state, identify what needs to change, and move

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) with focus on cost efficiency, scalability, and resilience

• Serve as the nexus between infrastructure, development, and security teams

• Define platform standards, tooling, and processes across the engineering organization

• Build and eventually lead a small platform team as the area grows

Must-Haves

• 7+ years in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps roles at digital-native companies

• Deep AWS expertise and hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale

• Strong solution architecture and scalability fundamentals

• Background in SaaS, fintech, or high-growth product companies

• Comfortable using AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow without losing your own technical judgment

• High autonomy — you know what to look at, what to ask, and when to move without waiting for validation

• Strong communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams

• Professional English proficiency

Nice to Have

• Experience building or leading a platform team from scratch

• Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization

• Background in companies transitioning from startup to structured product organization

• Exposure to security or reliability engineering initiatives
